12. Steps Improving Riverside Access to the River Brent

Theme: Access and Recreation

  • Completing a 24-mile riverside trail from Barnet to Brentford on the Thames
  • Creating or improving 12 miles of riverside access for walking, cycling and the disabled throughout the catchment

Project description

There is an aspiration to improve people experience walking along the riverside at Bitterns Field. At present, the riverside path is informally accessed by the numerous visitors and ramblers. Informal access is forced around a two fences because the suggested diversion to higher ground path is not allowing people to continue enjoy the riverfront which is beautiful at this site.
